The Little
Fish Child

Ula is a not-quite-fish not-quite-girl, but definitely not a mermaid. Day after day Ula tries to fit in with everyone else but her efforts only make it worse.
But Sophie likes Ula just the way she is. And so do the fish. Between them, perhaps they can make Ula see that being different is nothing to be ashamed of.

“ ‘You must be who you are, Ula’, said Sophie.
‘I’m scared,’ whispered Ula. ‘What if nobody likes me?
What if
I don’t like me?’ ”
